For Caitlin Carter, love means business. She's taken matchmaking back to basics. There is no swiping left. No creepy location tracker. Definitely no unsolicited pics of areas of the anatomy no one wants to see. She's made dating great again: personal, patient... and profitable. Her startup is going from strength to strength, with clients wanting to find the love she has with her own husband Harry, and she even has celebrities wanting to use her services... Caitlin is living the perfect life. Except it's all a perfect lie. And Caitlin doesn't know how long she can keep it up. . . . MY REVIEW. . . Oh wow! Where to start!!! If there is one book you need to read this year... this week!! It’s this one... The story is primarily about Caitlin, happily married to a stunner Harry and professional matchmaker.. Everyone wants what Caitlin has, the perfect marriage, the perfect life, the perfect job... yet no one knows just exactly what she doesn’t have behind closed doors.

To the whole world outside of her home Caitlin has it all..

A thriving love business and photos all over her instagram feed of her happy life with Harry.

But Caitlin sits alone up the dinner table with two meals waiting, her calls to harry go unanswered and she repeatedly wakes up with his side of the bed cold and abandoned.

Things are fine, it will get better soon... this is what she keeps telling herself every time she walks past a cafe where she and Harry shared a special lunch or when she is out at the pub with her best friend Verity and her boyfriend Jeremiah and she is swallowed by memories of double date nights.

I was kept on the edge of my seat, dying to know what it is that has gone wrong between Harry and Caitlin... Caitlins best friend, Verity knows!! And I found myself desperately going through different scenarios, all different outcomes but mainly wanting to curl up on the sofa with Caitlin and Verity on one of there girls nights in and get to the bottom of what’s happened... I finally did... halfway through... The lump in my throat appeared and I could barely read through the tears welling up in my eyes..

This heart wrenching story finally made sense.

Caitlins world was completely turned upside down and she can no longer look at posts of Harry, she has fallen out with almost everybody and is seriously jeopardising her business as she just isn't thinking clearly.

When Harrys mum turns up unexpectedly at the office after seeing the promo posters for the business at the local bus stops Caitlin finally realises she has to accept the truth and in order to move on she must admit to herself ad to everyone else that what she is promoting is all a lie.

Scooped up off of the floor and driven to her mums home, Caitlin and Verity finally talk about what happened, allowing herself to grieve for her past and opening up to her best friend and mum about the past year of denial.

The girls decide to head off to the Maldives for the Christmas period on a free holiday that Caitlin was offered in return to promote the honeymoon business.

this is a perfect way for Caitlin to start the healing process and accept she has to make a huge change in her life to move forward and be happy. I adored this story so much and really hope it gets made into a movie 🎥

Definitely a must have read this Christmas!
